Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

DixieLand Consulting LLC ("we", "us") is a web design, hosting and IT services business in Milton, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through dixielandconsulting.com and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. What we collect
- What you tell us. Your name, email address, phone number, business name and whatever you write when you use our contact form, request a consultation, or sign up for a service.
- Account information. If you use our customer portal, the email address you sign in with (through Microsoft or Google — we never see or store your password).
- Billing information. Invoices and payment records. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Website usage. Pages visited and general location, through Google Analytics. This is aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
- Hosting and support data. If we host or support your systems, whatever is necessary to do that work.
Text messages
We may text you about a service you asked about, a project we are working on together, or an invitation you agreed to receive. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except with the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf.
How we use it
- To answer you, quote work, and do the work you have hired us for
- To invoice you and keep the accounting records the law requires
- To host, monitor and support your website or systems
- To send reports you have subscribed to, and to tell you about a problem with your service
- To improve the site — which is what the analytics are for
What we never do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not share your mobile number or messaging consent for anyone else's marketing.
- We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it or done business with us.
Who else touches your data
We use these companies to run the business. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Microsoft Azure — hosting and databases
- Stripe — payments (they handle card details; we don't)
- Intuit QuickBooks — invoicing and accounting
- Twilio — text messages
- SMTP2GO and Amazon SES — email delivery
- Google — Analytics, Search Console, and sign-in if you choose it
- Anthropic — the AI features, when you use them
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure how the site is used. You can block them in your browser; the marketing pages will work fine, but the customer portal cannot keep you signed in without them.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries: about two years. Customer records, invoices and accounting: as long as tax and business law requires, generally seven years. Hosting and support data: while we provide the service, plus a reasonable backup period. Ask us to delete something and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, and we'll tell you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it
- Reply STOP to any text

Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted. Customer data is separated per account at the database level, not merely by the application, so one customer cannot read another's records. We keep systems patched and access limited to those who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
This is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be told to you directly.
